Amsterdam-Newcastle Mini Cruise
Due to a special promotion of DFDS this time of year in which we participated there was an extra discount on the mini-cruise offer and we decided to book the ferry. This is a fantastic way to explore the exciting city of Newcastle and you can also enjoy traveling by boat.
The weeks before departure we had already two storms, Ciara and Dennis.
Fortunately, the weather was calmer during our cruise.
Before boarding the cruise/ship, we had a drink in the restaurant ‘Kop van de Haven’. The boat didn’t leave until 5.30pm, so we had plenty of time to drink a cup of tea and stroll around on the quay. There is a fishing statue and you have a nice view on the moored boat.
A friendly fisherman gave some bait to a couple of little birds on the quay.
