The island “Ile-aux-Moines”
It is the largest island in the Gulf of Morbihan.
It offers a captivating blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Explore its pristine beaches, meandering coastal paths, and lush landscapes. Visit the Church of Saint-Michel, admire traditional Breton houses, and savor delicious local cuisine.
This idyllic island is a perfect escape for nature enthusiasts, history buffs, and those seeking serenity.
We went to Kerner’s Kayak in Arzon to take the boat to ‘Ile-aux-Moines’. We could admire the beautiful sight of the bay. The image in the header is a view of “Plage du Drehen” – “grande plage”.
We had lunch in Creperie Lonely Galette, we chose to try the Galettes, typical brittany pancakes. These pancakes are made from buckwheat flour, then filled with various ingredients such as eggs, ham, mushrooms, and bacon.
After a visit to the church “Eglise Saint-Michel”, we continued our walk till the “Pointe du Trec’h”, where there’s a monument of a cross: “Calvary Trech”. There you have a beautiful view.
